Metabolic testing is the most comprehensive reporting of human biology data available today.
Metabolic testing assesses how efficiently your body burns calories and uses oxygen, both at rest and during various activities.
Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR): The number of calories your body burns at rest.
Metabolic Efficiency: The number of calories your body burns during physical activity.
VO2 Max: The maximum amount of oxygen your body can utilize during exercise.
-
Metabolic testing provides a comprehensive look into your body's unique functioning, helping you make informed decisions to optimize your health and performance.
-
We measure 23 key biomarkers accoss multiple human functions. The results of the test provide detailed insights about biometric data points from the biomarkers captured on:
Resting Metabolic Rate
Fat-Max Zone
Calorie Burn
VO2max
Fat / Carbohydrate Burn
Movement Economy
Heart Fitness
Lung Fitness
Cellular Fitness

• VO2peak: Maximum volume of oxygen consumed
• VCO2: Volume of carbon dioxide produced
• Respiratory Exchange Ratio (RER): Ratio of carbon dioxide volume produced over oxygen volume consumed.
• Tidal Volume (VT): Volume of air exhaled in one breath.
• Breathing Frequency (BF): Number of breaths completed in one minute.
• Minute Ventilation (VE): The air volume is exhaled in one minute.
• VE/VCO2: Ratio of minute ventilation over carbon dioxide volume produced.
• O2pulse: Ratio of oxygen volume consumed over heart rate.
• VO2/BF: Ration of oxygen volume consumed over breathing frequency.
• End-tidal CO2 (FetCO2): The highest concentration of carbon dioxide achieved during exhalation.
• End-tidal O2 (FetO2): The highest oxygen concentration achieved during inhalation.
• Fraction of expired CO2 (FeCO2): Average carbon dioxide concentration in one exhalation.
• Fraction of expired O2 (FeO2): Average oxygen concentration in one exhalation.
• Heart rate: Number of heartbeats per minute.
• Heart Rate Variability (HRV): The time variability between heartbeats
• Forced Expired Volume (FVC): The maximum air volume exhaled at rest during the most prolonged exhalation possible.
• Caloric burn: Number of calories burned per minute.
• Fat oxidation: Grams and calories of fat burned per minute.
• Carbohydrate oxidation: Grams and calories of carbohydrate burned per minute.
• Mechanical Efficiency: Ratio of mechanical power over calorie burn per second.
• Crossover point: The heart rate at which carbohydrate and fat oxidation reach the same level.
• Aerobic Threshold or First Ventilatory Threshold (VT1): The heart rate at which fatigue accumulation begins at a sustainable rate for the body.
• Anaerobic Threshold of Second Ventilatory Threshold (VT2): The heart rate at which fatigue accumulation begins at an unsustainable rate for the body.
-
RMR test is for individuals looking to improve their health through personalised, detailed insights, action plans, and expert support who will benefit from tailored programs designed to address their metabolic and nutritional health, biology, or specific metabolic conditions.
-
AMR test is for athletes or active individuals looking to identify performance-limiting factors and seeking guidance on the specific training needed to improve results in their sport or activity.
Along with a tailored training plan, testing also provides individualised nutrition recommendations to ensure that the body is properly fuelled for optimal performance.
